"Conservatives Taking Back America" was formed by a group of concerned citizens who believed after the 2008 Presidential Election, that our government was leading this great nation to a socialist state, ignoring the conservative principles upon which it was founded. Not only were the ideas of free enterprise being discarded but the Judeo-Christian moral values of our founding fathers were being rejected. This group exists to rally the American public by making it aware of the threat and encouraging "we the people" to save the freedoms which we have, by bringing God back into our government, our schools, and our way of life.
CONSERVATIVE THOUGHTS FOR POLITICAL OFFICE

The year 2010 was an eventful political year in that there was a movement by a large group of Americans who were dissatisfied with government, with politicians, and the process of politics. This strong movement urged our government to go back to the Constitution with less government intervention. The government has become too big, the politicians too arrogant, and the entire process highly corrupt. Here are some thoughts for those in, and for those running for office during the 2012 election cycle:
SOVEREIGNTY: The 10th Amendment to the Constitution should not be violated. Less dependency on the federal government is sorely needed. Federal mandated programs and policies saddle the
States with heavy financial burdens and should be held to a minimum.
TERM LIMITS: When people become "permanent politicians" they become arrogant, mendacious, and they seek power through financial ties which in turn obligates them to be less objective in their voting. Financial disclosure for every politician should be all inclusive with fees and retainers not excluded as they are now.
LESS TAXES: Corporate taxes should be lowered to allow business to grow and flourish. A "fair" consumption tax should replace income and personal property taxes making it mandatory for all to pay at least some tax. Fees and fines should be regarded as taxes and monitored as such. The cumbersome IRS would be eliminated with the advent of the "fair" tax.
LESS GOVERNMENT: Government at all levels should be structured to allow oversight by professional agencies accountable to the executive branch. No one branch of government should be allowed to appoint judges or other offices of the state. An all-out effort should be made to remove all defunct agencies and not create new one.
EDUCATION: It is the key to the survival of our nation. The "public school system" is broken.
Some form of school choice is needed to provide all children the opportunity to have a quality education. Funding should go to the classroom and not to the federal and state bureaucracies as it does now. Patriotism should be taught along with American History.
SPENDING: There should be a "cap" on government spending and at the Federal level, an amendment to the Constitution requiring a balance budget. Annual budgets should not exceed the cost of living adjustment. All "pork barrel" spending should be stopped.
SECURITY: Leaders in government should rely on strength to defend our way of life. They should rely on free market capitalism and not become pawns of foreign nations. Our leaders should never bow or become subservient to any form of foreign influence. They should protect our borders from all who intend to destroy us.
RELIGION: Our nation was founded on the moral Judeo-Christian principles and values. Our Constitution must be our guiding document. By putting God back into our government, our schools, and our way of life our nation will once again become the beacon of hope and freedom in the world. During the next few months of 2011 and of 2012, it should be "We The People" to set the course for our nation and I am confident that when that happens, God Will Bless America.
